Cream Together:
1 cup shortening ( I use Crisco Butter Flavored)
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar (I use light brown sugar)
1 teas. vanilla
Add:
2 large eggs - beat well
Sift and Add: (I stir the dry ingredients together in a seperate bowl and then slowly add them to the wet ingredients)
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teas. soda
1 teas. salt (I only use 1/2 teas.)
After above ingredients are mixed together...
Stir In:
1 cup chocolate chips (I use milk chocolate)
optional 1/2 cup nuts
Drop on cookie sheet and bake in oven at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. (It always seems to take at least 10 minutes for me)

Me too! It takes at least 10 minutes, sometimes, 11 depending on which cookie sheet I use! Sure looks delicious!
WOW... my mouth is watering just looking at the recipe! I will have to give them a whirl tomorrow with the kids. Nothing we love more than a hot batch of cookies. I loved seeing a update! I miss you and think of you often! Hope all is well!
